Funky Frankenstein Film workshops

Last week, we were back at Bowling Park Primary School, where we spent a brilliant two days with Year 6 both at New Cross Street and Usher Street.

Year 6 have been studying the Usbourne Classic retold tale of Frankenstein and we spent the time filming year 6 in costume against green screen to slot into pre shot footage. This helped the children to really "live" the tale. At the end of the second day we held a mini film show on each of the two sites for the actors to view themselves on the big screen. We left the school with a dvd for each class comprising of the narrated film, we will also be providing a silent version so that the children will be able to write their own story.

The feedback from pupils and teachers was phenomenal and Matthew Langley, Deputy Head Teacher had this to say:

"A quick note to say many thanks for your excellent work with year six. Watched with great pride in our celebration assemblies yesterday and about to be placed on our blog today. A real achievement.

Looking forward to working with you again soon."

Here is a video of one of the films from class 6.
